In today’s housing market, home improvement is not only done to make you and your family more comfortable. It can also add to your home’s market value, making it easier to sell. - Cost VS Value - it is always best to consider whether the cost of your home improvement project will be commensurate with the increase in market value. It would be best if you determine what kind of improvement you would like and can afford. You can check your neighborhood and the local housing market to find out whether adding a bathroom or remodeling a kitchen will be a good and worthwhile project.
- Interior VS Exterior - when it comes to making a good impression on buyers, you must never forget the outside of your home. As they say, first impressions last and no matter how your home looks on the inside, buyers will base their decision on what your home looks like on the outside.
- Permits - before starting on your home improvement project, it is always wise to check whether you need to get construction permits. For older homes, you might need to get building code specifications.
