Seeing how Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae were part of the problem in the housing market, it seems only fair that they now be made to become part of the solution. The good news is that homes have never been more affordable, the bad news is that lenders are making it impossible for people to qualify. Forcing lenders to untie the purse strings for people that can truly afford to purchase a home, is the first step in climbing out of the financial mess this country is in.
