Dog Surrendered Due to Texas Foreclosure Homes Still Looking for a Home
By john | July 24, 2008
One of the several dogs who lost their homes due to foreclosure homes is Ruby, a 7 year old corgi-mix. She belongs to Operation Kindness. Most of the unsheltered dogs and cats from Operation Kindness have found new homes, but not Ruby.

Foreclosure homes in Dallas have been on rise due to which even the pets are losing their homes and end up being abandoned. Texas foreclosure homes and other financial troubles are growing concerns these days.
Ruby, the sleek brown dog was featured in Saturday’s The Dallas Morning News. The Executive Director of Operation Kindness Sherwin Daryani said several people called to inquire about Ruby one of which was a lady from West Fort Worth, but no one really took her home.
The shelter normally adopts about 18 animals every weekend. There are 26 other animals that got new homes including those who have been staying in the shelter for over 6 months. The shelter has been receiving more number of visitors these days as mentioned by Mr.Daryani. He is excited because they had a good weekend.
Operation Shelter is the place for all pet animals that are abandoned by their owners. Close to one fourth of the pets staying in the shelter house were surrendered by their owners who lost their homes to foreclosures in Dallas or due to other financial troubles. People working at the shelter house have reported that there has been a noticeable rise in number of pets abandoned due to the aforesaid reasons.
Dallas Animal services are one of the city’s public shelters. The Manager at Dallas Animal Services, Tyron McGill says that every day there are one or two pets left to their fates due to foreclosure homes and financial problems.
The abandoned pets that are not lucky enough to be sent to shelter houses are often left to fight with their own destinies and are found stray over the streets. The number of adoptions has gone down drastically past few months. Officials are not sure whether the Texas foreclosure homes are one of the greatest reasons.
The situation would be worst when all the shelter houses and streets would be overcrowded and the shelter houses will have to take an extreme step like euthanasia.

That is really sad that dogs are abandoned along with the homes during a foreclosure. I could never do that. It would be like leaving my brother.
A tired dog is a happy dog!!
